About Me

Introduction

Hi! I’m Hanyu Zhang, a junior student from Zhejiang University, Chu Kochen Honors College.

I major in Engineering with a focus on Automation and have a minor in Physics.

My interest lies in control theory and its applications, especially in the interdisciplinary fields of physics and engineering. I am fascinated by the potential of developing new methods for robot control and believe that a strong foundation in mathematics and physics can provide insights to this area.

Currently, I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Tiefeng Li at Center for X-mechanics, Zhejiang University, working on control algorithms inspired by the buoyancy mechanisms of marine mammals.

Misc

I enjoy listening to classical music. For example, Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier begins with a melody as clear as an axiom. As the piece progresses, it undergoes repeated variations, superimpositions, and interweaving, giving rise to all sorts of magical conclusions and creating a unique mathematical effect.

My English name is Maythics. What is Maythics? It’s a term I created by combining the words “math” and “physics.”
